Well...it was the first full episode I've seen in almost two years...it was good, even if I wasn't totally clued into everything that was going on...

Will it, can it, should it carry ramifications into Angel on another network?

I haven't watched Buffy in about 2 years either, but a friend taped the last 4 for me, which I'll watch next week. I've heard that a cast member from Buffy will be joining Angel next season. I don't know who though since I haven't seen anything yet.

A Buffy cast member on Angel...? I hadn't heard that. That could be interesting...

Spike will be heading over to Angel. Don't ask me how, I just know from sources that he will. Joss tried to get some of the others over there, but it seems that most of the cast wants to get as far away from him and his shows as possible. *cackle*

Tonight I party, for the horror that Buffy became is finally over. The bad writing has finally ended, and it was really, really lame. Pardon me as I dance a jig, and chug my beer.

The finale was one of the better episodes of the season, which isn't really saying much.

This season has been particularly sad. Character growth and connections were pushed to the side in favor of singling Buffy's *power* out. There were hardly any meaningful connections between Buffy and Willow or Buffy and Zander or Zander and Willow. Given everything that happened to the Scooby Gang last season, you would think they would be checking on each other a bit more. Zander left the love of his life at the alter, Willow lost her soul mate and tried to destroy the world, and Buffy came back from the dead and seemed to have no will to live. Not to mention shagging Spike.

What I found particularly distrubing this season is how much of a power trip Buffy was on. She spent more time giving speeches than connecting with any one. While people were dying, she was chastising others for being weak. Great leaders have compassion, Buffy did not. And that was something greatly missing this season.

The finale was good, but nothing set it up for the audience to care. So it was unfulfilling in that way.

Spike joining the cast of Angel is not a spoiler, it is a fact, and public knowledge. James Marsters stated in March that he had already agreed to join Angel (see article here). The WB has officially announced his migration to Angel, which is mentioned here. I'd be giving out spoilers if I had any idea how the hell they're going to bring him into the show. Didn't seem like he was going anywhere at the end of Buffy, did it? Then again, they'll have other problems to deal with on Angel that were set loose in the Buffy finale.

I'm sorry. I wasn't aware that public announcements made by a television station about it's fall line-up were considered *SPOILERS* to anyone. I've never seen anyone explode over being told a particular actor was going to join a show. I appologise, and will add a spoiler warning whenever I speak of such things in the future. I'd recommend staying far away from anything resembling a TV Guide, Gem. They usually have those spoilery "fall preview" highlights.

    Unhappy

    Is season 7 so disappointing?!?!?

    *sigh*

I've watched Buffy just for a few months now, and here in Italy we're one season late... Guess what, last episode I saw (that is, last wednesday) was Seeing Red...

So, you tell me there won't be any evolution of these major events next season?!

    *umpfh*

I guess I'll stick to borrowing dvds and see Willow and Tara story without all those stupid translation mistakes...
